Hi, and welcome!
I've been a craft-a-holic all my life. Knitting is
one of my passions,
and I jumped at the opportunity to own a knitting store so I could share my
love of yarn and knitting with others, especially children. I enjoy making
scarves that I can also give as gifts. I have three Yorkies and will be
customizing sweater patterns for them. Look
for these in the store!
Now that my two children are grown and on their own, I'm excited about
starting a new chapter in my life with this wonderful venture. As much as I love
the yarn, even more I love the people I meet "through" the yarn. I enjoy
the camaraderie shared among crafters, and the instant bond that appears when
two people discover their shared passion for all things yarn.
When I'm not knitting, I love to golf, garden, read,
watercolor and travel. I never leave home without my copy of The
Knitters', Crocheters', Weavers', & Spinners' Travel Guide.
Knit This, Purl That! will be included in the 2007 edition, coming out
this spring.
Our staff members are passionate about knitting and
some who have
recently changed careers are looking forward to working in the Yarn World!
At Knit This, Purl That!, we support women helping
women, by featuring wonderful yarns and fibers created by free trade groups
and/or individual women. These include Rio de la Plata, Marisol, Rainbow Fibers,
and Manos del Uruguay.
Please come by and meet our wonderful
staff, including my daughter Allyse, who
will be leading children's parties, as well
as Beth, Lyda and Darlyne, our fabulous and
experienced knitting instructors.
We look forward to meeting you!
